German Music – The Hits Of The 2000s – English Version

In the 2000s TV casting shows became popular among young people, which led to the success of many One Hit Wonders and helped smooth Pop replacing the funky colorful Disco Pop of the 90s. Still we find old faces in the longs list of new and young bands and groups: Die  Ärzte and Herbert Grönemeyer are still successful though their fans might slightly differ from the fans of the new faces in the music business. In the mid-2000s the boy band Tokio Hotel gained enormous success and polarised  the country. They happened to be one of the first German singing bands to achieve international attention. After a certain period they eventually moved to the US to take a break from their life as celebrities. A planned comeback a few years after failed.

But the 2000s do not only consist of Pop music but also of the upcoming German rap genre. In the following you can listen to how the 2000s sounded. If your favourite band or song is missing, get in touch with us and let us know!
